9 for Elle

This year has been interesting one as our family has settled into 'us'. I even went through the girl baby clothes and sorted the unworn ones into piles to give away. Some to be donated, some for friends and some for family. Especially Miss Gentry who has been through alot and shares Elle's slim and trim build. It sounds silly, but as I sorted I felt my dreams fading. These were the things I kept after Elle, thinking we'd have another little girl to dress and love. This poignant closure, wanting to use new pictures, and the complete and utter boredom that is boys' school shopping led to
Elle's 9 signature looks for 9 years.

1.Aunt Jemima Bow, the yellow version.
These were Reed's favorite and he still has the white one hanging in his car.
(Plus, Elle looks eerily like C in this picture)
2.The pumpkin hat.
Worn by all 4 peterson babies.
3.My favorite bow.

4.Coming home, part II. In Denver, less than 48 hrs after surgery.
(Yes, there's a bow. It's a tiny navy one on her part to match the navy trim on her socks)
5.Elle's first 3-6 month outfit.
We dolled her up to go meet the makers of her PA bands. As you can see, she wasn't too impressed with being only the 4th baby to have them.
6.Skater Elle.
I had this dressed for literally years before Elle was born and was so excited to put her in it.
7.Happy Halloween.
Maybe not the most flattering, but definitely a look. Once again Elle was not impressed with getting dolled up.
8.Aunt Jemima bow with pajamas.
Because you always need to look your best
9.Coming home part 1. Two days old and so peaceful.
The theme? Bows.
Elle was known for them in the hospital. She always worn won, and often it was all she could wear. I love girls :). We'll be thinking of Elle as we release pink balloons (at Matts' request), eat pink cupcakes and watch Beauty and the Beast in a girlish celebration of our sister and daughter.

I smiled and cried looking at all those pictures, your favorite bow was my favorite too, and the skating outfit, ADORABLE... and I will never be able to forget that cute little kiss costume. Sweet baby girl!

If I could click "Like" I would a million times. I cried and smiled through the whole thing as well. She is still one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen. We miss you guys - hope to see you soon!
