Happy Memorial Day

Today we remember what we hold most dear.
"...our God, our religious, and freedom, and our peace, our wives and our children"
And honor those who sacrifice their time, effort and even lives to make it possible.

1. Christian is a sweet, mellow little man who eats, sleeps and just takes in the world when he's awake.

2. Matts and Gray are fantastic big brothers. Matts has put himself on permanent diaper duty and Gray wants only Christian to put him to bed at night.

3. After switching to bottles/pumping and finding the right bottles (thank you, Ariel) Christian has regained his birth weight. Only slightly more awesome was finding out that Gray had strep throat at one of Christian's weight checks.

4. Neighbors/friends. We've had a ridiculous amount of delicious food and countless offers of babysitting. This morning as I contemplated the effectiveness of sleep deprivation as a form of torture, our next door neighbor called and asked Gray to come over. Let's just say it's 2:15pm and I still haven't heard from them.

4. Reed. With Reed taking care of me, the big boys, Christian, church and work I've had my best recovery yet. Reed even hired house cleaners to make my life easier. For any of you who know my super frugal husband, that is truly an act of love.

5. My mom is coming in tomorrow! Even with an easy baby we're starting to get a little worn down can't wait for Grandma Candi to come!

Grandpa Greg

One more event that deserved it's own post was Grandpa Greg's visit. Early Saturday morning I was sharing the news with my parents and at 4:00pm my Dad was walking into our hospital room. Apparently, he was at the airport welcoming a missionary home and decided to hope on a transcontinental flight to welcome Christian. Needless to say, we were ALL thrilled. Matts even changed from his soccer clothes into special clothes (white shirt, seersucker blazer and khaki shorts) to come see Grandpa.

All the boys
An all too familiar site
(My Dad has visited each of his 10 Grandchildren within 24hrs of their birth, no matter where they were born)

Welcome Christian!

On Saturday, May 8th, 2010 we welcomed Christian Scott into the world. He came quickly and the doctors, hospital and staff were amazing. The best part was after the epidural from 3:00am-7:00am when they let Reed and I sleep for 4 hours uninterrupted (they just watched the monitors from the station). Since being home Reed has been super man; taking the boys, working during naps, buying/selling my car, and spoiling his hormonally challenged wife :).

Christian is a wonderfully calm and sweet little guy. Currently our biggest issue is keeping him awake enough to eat and referring arguments over who gets to hold him next.

***The pics are completely out of order, but I'm already learning to let things go:)***

A Big thanks to our neighbors who spoiled the big boys rotten while we were in the hospital.
Our Three Boys
The Newest Big Brother (who I swear grew a foot over night)
Happy and tired (although much better than it could have been)

A good friend who takes G so that I can run errands AND documents the sweetness?
