Our year in London has just happened to be the coldest/wettest year in over 100 years. We'd heard the winters were rough, but I don't think we fully realized the impact the weather can have on mood, attitudes and overall enjoyment of life. When the sun is out, London is a wonderful place. People are out and about, smiling and soaking up rays. When it's cold and rainy...it can get old. On the flipside, when it's covered in snow, London becomes a winter wonderland. And Hyde Park in the snow? Completely magical.
