Ode to Walker

So last weekend we went out to visit Reed's good friend Walker Posey out in North Augusta, South Carolina (right across the river from Augusta). We had a blast. As you can see from the pictures, Walker and Mattson became fast friends. Mattson even proclaimed Walker to be his second favorite person - behind Luke Skywalker, of course. Pretty impressive standing if you ask me.

So how did this happen?

Well, Walker's house is right on the Savannah river and we took his boat out for an evening ride. Not only did he let Matts sit in the drivers seat...

he let him drive most of the way. He loved how pushing forward made us all jolt and go faster and pulling back jarred us to a stop. He was incredibly pleased with his new found power and surprisingly, he steered us pretty straight - even when Walker let him go under the bridge (asking for trouble from our little crunching obsessed boy).

The river was beautiful and the weather was great.

Hey Walker - you look good in a picture with a cute woman and a couple kids (hint, hint). And no, you can't have mine.

Even Gray had a blast. He was crawling all over the boat enjoying the feeling of wind rushing against his face.
Then back to Walkers house for a ride on his Harley.
And finally to dinner at the Pizza Joint where it is obvious from the picture that Matts has a severe case of hero worship.
